How Letting Go Of Negative Thoughts Changed My Life

The road to self-improvement can be a constant journey that requires regular maintenance. I know myself, I know that I have what it takes to continue working on myself, but I can’t always find the time to work on every aspect that bothers me in my life. I am consistently being challenged to find more ways to persevere through obstacles that arise and it sometimes triggers me to react negatively. My thoughts and fears take over (and not in ways that are optimistic or positive); sending me on a downward spiral of self-doubt and uncertainty. I’ve learned how to channel that energy into practicing mindfulness and meditation and it’s really been essential to my self-help development. But—real talk. I don’t always feel like being mindful or meditating everyday. I AM HUMAN. I get lazy, weary, and unconcerned just like you and anyone else that reacts to negative thoughts and fears in their lives (personal, professional, social).
